Panchakarma centre attached to Central Ayurveda Research Institute was established in 1971 and functioning under Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences , Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India.It is spread across about 3.26 acre in a three storeyed building,pharmacy building and a botanical garden. It was handed over to the Council by the Punjab Government in 1971, free of cost as long as the Council continues its activities  to the Research and Higher education in Ayurveda.

The Institute has a GMP certified Pharmacy, Chemistry lab for carrying out the physico-chemical analysis of the herbal drugs/formulations,fully equipped Pharmaceutical Lab and Pharmacognosy lab for drug identification for authentication. A multimedia conference room with a sitting capacity of 150 persons.The herbal garden with more than 100 plants .General OPD and specialized OPD’s such as Geriatric and Flu like illness .
