Took my wife to see the Aurervedic doctors. My wife is of Sri Lankan descent. Arrived 30 minutes before appointment and no one said anything. A lady was involved with her tutoring of students. My wife asked for the aircon to be turned down as her condition is exacerbated by cold air. A lady turned off the aircon and we thanked her. The “Doctor” wandered out and placed the form that he wanted filled out on the receptionists desk but did not communicate at all. Another lady ( the female “Doctor” ) about five minutes later came and turned the aircon back on and told my wife that everyone had to be considered and not just her. At 4.25pm we left with no one talking to us about the appointment or what we had to do. In the car my wife received a phone call asking if she was coming to the appointment. After some discussion the female knew that my wife was not happy about the lack of general courtesy that we had not received. Mention here that we had to pay $97 upfront before they would accept a consultation. The “doctor” then called and reiterated comments from the previous phone call. I did suggest that this treatment is not what Australians do. At our home, received the first of two sms. Both played the victim card and that my wife was at fault. They also stated that the appointment was “unattended” so that they could refuse any refund. One assumes that if you pay and go somewhere you are greeted, instructed what to do then wait for your appointment. This did not happen and is very poor.
