Maitri is one family’s willingness to do good in the community. Mahesh and Jayshree Dhokia wanted to find a path that was more fulfilling in 1998. Mahesh is from Kenya and his mother was a herbalist. And he wanted to provide service to others in the local community.
Mahesh and Jayshree set up a health store in Streatham. Maitri was into supplements, wellbeing and holistic health and dedication toward helping others saw the business grow into a well known community store. The store became more focussed and started with more staff ,studying herbs, vitamins and minerals.
Maitri continues to serve the community. The store has an acupuncturist, dedicated herbalists,an Ayurvedic specialist , a reflexologist, a reiki master and a yoga meditation expert.It allows customers to have a consultation with experts for customized medicines on a case by case basis. We sell a wide range of herbal medicines and supplements, picked by specialists to ensure customers benefit from the finest nature has to offer.Maitri’s food products are also gluten free, vegan and veggie friendly and organic. Streatham through integrity,honesty and a willingness to help people, aiming to expand our reach.
